    Job Title: Press Brake Operator

    Job Description

    Join a leading metal fabrication manufacturer specializing in precision metal fabrication, metal stamping, and tubular frame fabrication and assembly. As a Press Brake Operator, you will work with a CNC press brake to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic, or other materials, ensuring precision in bends, punches, and cuts.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform a wide variety of press brake operations on parts produced from light gauge and heavy steel plate, stainless steel, and aluminum.

    + Plan the sequence of multiple pass operations for a series of bends.

    + Conduct visual inspections of parts and use measuring tools or fixtures to ensure that finished parts conform to prints.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 2 years of experience with press brake operations.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Proficiency with tools such as shear, tape measure, punch press, brake, calipers, and micrometer.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

    + Experience with fabrication or machining is a plus.

    + Knowledge or experience with blueprints is beneficial.

    + Must be able to work at a fast pace, follow instructions, and be self-motivated.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a machine shop environment with air conditioning on the shop floor. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 7 am to 11 am. Personal protective equipment such as eye protection and hearing protection is available, and gloves are required. The role involves working on the manufacturing floor where machines, including punching and stamping machines, are in operation.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
