Our client, a well-respected medical practice in Encinitas, is seeking a Medical Front Office Receptionist who will set the tone for patients the moment they walk in. This role combines administrative expertise with compassion and professionalism, ensuring that patients and families feel both welcomed and cared for. What You’ll Do

+ Greet patients warmly, check them in, and provide guidance on forms and procedures.

+ Manage phone lines — schedule appointments, handle inquiries, and route calls appropriately.

+ Verify insurance information, collect copays, and enter patient data accurately into the EHR system.

+ Collaborate with medical assistants, providers, and back-office staff to keep the daily schedule running smoothly.

+ Handle billing and patient account questions with professionalism.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk environment.

+ Uphold patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

+ 1–2 years of medical office or receptionist experience.

+ Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (experience with Athenahealth, Epic, or similar is a plus).

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first mindset.

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

+ Professional presence and positive attitude in all interactions.
