Sr. Corporate Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while providing valuable insights into financial performance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s success by managing complex processes and supporting team development.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and review general ledgers on an accrual basis for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare and record journal entries, calculate monthly accruals, and update balance sheet backup schedules.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash receipts.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Analyze monthly income statements and reconcile balance sheet accounts in accordance with reporting timelines.
• Oversee the preparation of income statement and balance sheet reconciliations completed by Property Accountants.
• Perform corporate credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Calculate intercompany charge-outs and record biweekly payroll journal entries.
• Manage corporate payables and ensure timely processing.
• Provide guidance and support to Accounting team members, fostering growth and collaboration. Requirements • Proven expertise in month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with corporate credit card reconciliation and payroll journal entries.
• Ability to calculate intercompany charge-outs efficiently and accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address AP, AR, and cash receipt issues.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to coach and assist team members.
