    Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will excel at setting up and running CNC machines independently, demonstrating proficiency in using height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and interpreting blueprints. Knowledge of Fanuc Controls is essential, as well as the ability to perform efficiently with minimal training and direction.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC mills, with a focus on precision and efficiency.

    + Utilize Fanuc Controls effectively at the machine.

    + Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure accurate production.

    + Perform measurements using height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.

    + Ensure quality standards are met throughout the machining process.

    + Manage a two-machine cell with live milling tooling and twin spindles.

    Essential Skills

    + Proven experience in CNC mill setups and operations.

    + Proficiency with Fanuc Controls and 3 Axis Mill operations.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Strong understanding of measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.

    + Experience with Mill Turn machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must have own tools, including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, and other essential equipment.

    + Experience with Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a smaller machine shop with around 50 employees, providing a family-like atmosphere. The facility is climate-controlled, and employees work first shift hours from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime including Saturdays. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
