Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will operate, maintain, and repair all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and maintain mechanical and electrical breakdowns while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role involves assisting in electrical repairs in a manufacturing plant and requires experience with industrial, mechanical, electrical, and computer systems.
Responsibilities
+ Operate, maintain, and repair production equipment to prevent mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
+ Assist in electrical repair tasks within a manufacturing plant.
+ Perform technical tasks such as electrical repair, machining, welding, and handling high-pressure gases.
+ Possess knowledge and capability in electrical installation and construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
+ Train in Maintenance Systems (SAP), lubricants, lubricating systems, and new technologies in predictive maintenance.
+ Support continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant efficiency initiatives.
+ Comply with and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
+ Perform tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with welding, mechanical systems, high-pressure gas systems, and basic PLC skills.
+ Confirmed understanding of electrical installation and construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
+ 18 months of maintenance-related experience, including a minimum of 500 hours of on-the-job experience.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a 2nd shift schedule from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, with a rotating schedule of 10 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, and 2 days off, working every 3rd weekend. The role requires adherence to Cleanroom/GMP protocols and awareness of potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and high noise areas. Candidates can watch a video to get a clear snapshot of the work environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
