Maintenance Technician

Job Description

+ Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V, including single-phase and three-phase systems.

+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting tasks.

+ Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley) using a laptop.

+ Address pneumatic system issues.

+ Utilize a volt meter for troubleshooting.

+ Conduct mechanical repairs on shafts, bearings, gears, and belts.

+ Build and assemble new machines from scratch.

+ Work with AC/DC motors.

+ Perform electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

+ Conduct new installations of equipment and machinery, including running conduit as needed.

+ Assist with the building and wiring of panels during machine rebuilds or new builds.

+ Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and mopping as needed.

+ Work on various machines such as rewinders, wire formers, CNC equipment, and perform building maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

+ Proficiency in 480V wiring and relay logic.

+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

+ Ability to use a volt meter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with welding (MIG, STICK, or ARC).

+ Ability to bend or run conduit.

+ Formal schooling or technical education is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean cable manufacturing facility that can become warm during the summer months. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and earplugs. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable attire. The facility is heated during the winter. The company is building a new facility next door, where most employees will transition over the year. The current team consists of 16 maintenance employees, with plans to grow to 28. Shifts include two openings on the 1st shift (7 AM - 7 PM) and one opening on the 3rd shift (7 PM - 7 AM), working Monday to Friday and some Saturdays, with a 60-hour workweek depending on needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
