Job Title: Tool Room Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Tool Room Attendants responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies, and equipment. This role involves maintaining accurate records of tools issued and returned by other employees, searching for misplaced tools, preparing inventory, and ordering new stock as needed. Additionally, you will unpack and store new equipment, fit components of welding equipment, inspect tools for wear and defects, and assist in the ordering of tools, parts, and equipment.

***1 opening on day shift and 1 on night shift.

Responsibilities

+ Receive, store, and issue hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies, and equipment.

+ Maintain records of tools issued to and returned by workers.

+ Search for lost or misplaced tools and notify supervision as required.

+ Prepare inventory and requisition stock as needed.

+ Unpack and store new equipment.

+ Fit together components of fabrication equipment.

+ Visually inspect tools for wear and defects, and order replacements as necessary.

+ Identify and engrave information on tools and equipment.

+ Assist the management team with ordering tools, parts, and equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in inventory management and cycle counts.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude.

+ Computer skills, particularly in data entry and inventory management.

+ Ability to handle material and manage toolroom operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of professional experience working in an aviation or aerospace tool room environment preferred.

+ Experience in Inventory Management and Mechanical Assembly or Carpentry is a plus.

Work Environment

We offer flexible work schedules with openings on day shifts (6am - 6:30pm) and night shifts (6pm - 6:30am), with options for Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday. The work environment is a dynamic and bustling weld/fab shop in one of our covered hangars.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cocoa, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
