Job Title: Conveyer Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

The Conveyor Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, recurring maintenance, and repair of a pier-mounted dry bulk hopper and conveyance system. This role includes managing daily conveyor operations, strategic maintenance planning, parts procurement, as well as physical maintenance and repair activities. Additionally, the supervisor will train maintenance staff for night shift operations. Working hours are subject to the vessel schedule at the facility and will include weekends and occasional night shifts.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee conveyor operations for bulk cargo, including planning, production, monitoring, and reporting.

+ Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with the conveyor and hopper systems.

+ Execute a planned maintenance program and assist in planning and installation of future bulk material systems.

+ Adhere to safety regulations and best practices, including lock out/tag out procedures.

+ Maintain accurate records and provide training to maintenance staff.

+ Be available for 24/7 on-call duties and ensure the supervision of maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience with supervision and repair of industrial machinery.

+ Expert knowledge of bulk conveyance systems, hoppers, and associated machinery.

+ Strong problem-solving skills under tight timelines.

+ Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

+ Consistent punctuality and excellent attendance record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Valid driver's license and own transportation.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook e-mail is preferred.

+ Ability to maintain a clean work area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sparrows Point, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Employees will receive immediate coverage for Health, Dental, Vision (available for individuals and families). Additionally, the package includes company-paid life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and disability insurance after the eligibility period. Employees can participate in a Health Savings Account, with potential employer contributions of up to $2,500, depending on the selection of an eligible high-deductible health plan.

Benefits also include three weeks’ accrual of paid time off (PTO) to start, two weeks of paid parental leave, and a 401(k) plan with an employer match of up to $750, subject to eligibility requirements. Tuition reimbursement is available. A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account is available for employee contributions.
