A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Service Technician III, you will serve as a senior technical expert, leading the servicing, repair, and installation of RF products. This role demands extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to RF systems, providing mentorship to junior technicians, and ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction and product performance. In this role, you will report to the service department supervisor.
You Will Make an Impact By:
+ Expert Technical Support: Lead the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and debugging of advanced RF products, offering guidance to both customers and internal teams.
+ Complex Servicing and Repair: Perform intricate in-house servicing and repair of RF products, addressing sophisticated mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
+ System Optimization: Analyze and implement solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
+ Documentation: Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive records of service activities, including test results, and service reports.
+ Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Skills You Bring:
+ Education: Associate's degree in electronics or a related field from a two-year college, military program, or equivalent work experience.
+ Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in servicing and repairing RF products or related electronic equipment, with a proven track record of handling complex technical issues.
+ Technical Proficiency: Understanding of RF principles, expertise in utilizing RF test equipment, and proficiency in troubleshooting sophisticated electronic systems.
+ Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems such as Oracle is advantageous.
+ Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a strong emphasis on customer service and team collaboration.
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work effectively in both office and laboratory environments.
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
+ Extensive experience with RF generator boards and associated test equipment.
+ Proven ability to lead and implement 6S and Lean methodologies within a technical service environment.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and developing technical talent.
+ Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $24 - 30 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
