The Motor City Kitchen, located inside the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown – Fort Shelby, is seeking a Breakfast/Lunch Server to join our team\!

With seating for 84 guests, Motor City Kitchen is a welcoming space for both hotel guests and locals alike\. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills, deliver exceptional service, and be part of a team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences\.

**Start Time:** Varies between 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM based on business needs

**End Time:** No later than 3:00 PM

**Pay Rate:** $13/hour plus the opportunity to earn tips\!

What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

+ Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials

+ Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point\-of\-sale system

+ Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner

+ Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

+ Serve alcoholic/non\-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

+ Ensure serving station is well\-stocked at all times

+ Cross Train for banquets as needed

What are we looking for?

+ Minimum 2 years of professional restaurant serving experience

+ Full availability between 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM \(weekends required\)

+ Must meet minimum age requirement to serve alcohol

+ Ability to stand, lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs \(ADA requirement\)

+ Prior knowledge/experience with POS systems preferred
