Join our team as a Project Engineer, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions for our Gas Programs team. In this dynamic position, you'll work both independently and alongside seasoned mentors, gaining hands-on experience and expanding your technical expertise. As a Project Engineer, you’ll lead design efforts on mid-sized projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance. You’ll mentor junior engineers, coordinate with design teams, and deliver high-quality analyses and reviews. You’ll engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, flag challenges to the Project Manager, and support business development. Your role also includes reviewing drawings, participating in quality control, and driving process improvements—all while maintaining a strong focus on precision and efficiency.

This role offers remote flexibility, and we are seeking candidates based in the Charlotte area who can be available for occasional site visits and in-person meetings as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering.

+ At least 4 years of experience in the pipeline or related industry.

+ Experience with permitting and civil utility projects, including DOT or government design work.

+ Valid driver's license for fieldwork or site visits.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Professional Engineer (PE) License.

+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

+ Experience in gas design projects.
