Physician Assistant – First Assist (Cardiology and Vascular Surgery)

(On-site, Monday – Friday Schedule)

About the Role:

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced **Physician Assistant – First Assist** to join our **Vascular Surgery Specialists** team in Fort Worth. This is a full-time position supporting advanced heart and vascular care, with a primary focus on assisting in the OR, including vein harvesting and other surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate must have prior **operating room experience** , preferably with **vein harvesting** , and a strong interest in cardiology and vascular surgery. You will play a vital role in delivering minimally invasive treatments and surgical therapies in a high-volume, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ First assist in vascular and cardiology surgeries

+ Perform vein harvesting procedures

+ Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care

+ Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and clinical teams to ensure optimal outcomes

+ Support inpatient and outpatient care, patient education, and follow-up

+ Participate in clinical rounds and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program

- EXPERIENCE - More than 1 year of experience in vein harvesting.

Physician Assistants (PA)

Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
