    Your role at Clorox:

    The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a Molding Associate Team Lead position at our Aberdeen, MD facility. The Molding Team Lead is tasked with overseeing safety, quality, operations, maintenance, and personnel skill development across one of three production shifts. The Molding Team lead ensures that operators on the shift complete their assigned work, fulfills the duties of an operator, escalates downtime and major breakdowns to the Department Manager, and partners with the Process Leaders to ensure completion of non-standard work.

     

    Hourly base rate: $37.17.

     

    Rotational Shifts: (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Candidate may need to be available on a rotational shift our hours include 1st shift: (7am – 3:30pm) 2nd shift: (3pm – 11:30pm), 3rd shift: (11pm – 7:30am). Flexibility with overtime on a as business needs arise.

    In this role, you will:

    Safety is our top priority. As a leader in the plant, it is expected that the individual demonstrates a safety-first mindset and instills this mindset in the Molding Operators on the shift. This individual ensures that all non-standard work is completed safely and that established safety policies are followed.

    Operations/Maintenance 

    + Ensure all department equipment and systems are maintained efficiently and safely during the assigned shift.

    + Perform Level 3 skills as defined by Skill Blocks and seek Level 4 Skill Block completion.

    + Maintain product quality, execute and oversee quality assurance procedures and testing.

    + Ensure daily/monthly recordkeeping is performed on time with all supporting documentation:

    + SAP material receipts and auditing

    + MES task.

    + Synergy entries for quality testing

    + Time clocks

    + Shift change reports

    + PM completion

    + Safety audits and safety observations

    + Workday Learning training

    + Startup and shutdown checklists

    + Assist team manager to schedule teams daily work assignments and crewing.

    + Ensure adequate staffing is maintained on the shift.

    + Perform walk through the department several times/shift.

    Training/Development 

    + Assist Team Manager in monitoring skill progression of team members

    + Perform and/or lead others in maintenance / floor operations and improvement projects.

    + Identify opportunities to improve skills and abilities of team members including their development needs and providing any necessary training.

    Miscellaneous 

    + Provide team leadership that promotes and maintains a productive and harmonious work environment.

    + Assist team to drive shift and department improvement efforts.

    + Ensure that the team maintains proper housekeeping and safety standards.

    + Recommend and implement actions to support team objectives.

    + Keep team resource(s) fully apprised of issues / conditions, which may not support team objectives.

    + Other team specific duties as assigned by the Team Manager.

    + Support plant key initiatives

    + Initiate timely communication flow throughout the organization

    + Maintain floor awareness; communicate and/or secure resources as needed to resolve issues or drive continuous improvement

    + Facilitate and lead problem solving process

    + Lead effort to drive and maintain a cooperative, trustworthy culture, linking associates, resources, and other teams

    + Coordinate support for support team meetings such as, but not limited to:

    + Safety Pillar Team

    + Quality Pillar Team

    + Environmental Team

    + Other team specific duties as assigned by the Team Manager

    What we look for:

    + This role is a level 4 role but is eligible to level 3 associates.

    + Must have successfully been certified in all requirements of Level 3 skill blocks and have a proven record of consistent job performance, per those requirements.

    + Knowledge and understanding of department standards.

    + Inventory control knowledge to assist and carryout weekly and annual inventories (preferred) .

    + Proven ability to train others at Levels 1, 2 and 3 Skill Blocks.

    + Experience facilitating team meetings.

    + Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

    + Skill in planning, organizing and prioritization.

    + Experience in driving and maintaining a cooperative, trustworthy culture, linking associates, resources, and other teams

    + Self-motivated.

    + Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.

    + Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, assembly, and fabrication processes.

    + Familiarity with plastics extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding techniques is preferred.

    + Proficient in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

    + Experience with quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are met.

    + Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.

    + A commitment to continuous improvement through training in lean manufacturing practices.
