    Job Title: Project Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale utility projects from the engineering design phase through to construction. This role requires expertise in construction and engineering, with a focus on projects scattered throughout the northern third of Illinois. The ideal candidate will manage multiple construction scopes and ensure successful project delivery from inception to completion.

    Responsibilities

    + Drive results in a utility project management role.

    + Oversee large-scale projects across various programs from engineering design phase to construction.

    + Manage multiple construction scopes throughout the northern third of Illinois.

    + Initiate and manage contracts related to projects.

    + Work with the electrical grid and be familiar with transmission operations.

    + Ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-8 years of experience working with electrical grids and construction projects.

    + Understanding of engineering design principles.

    + Experience managing large projects with budgets up to 5 million dollars.

    + Degree in electrical engineering.

    + Experience in managing contractors and handling RFPs.

    + Proficiency in forecasting and project management.

    + Strong construction exp.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Proficient in reading electrical prints.

    + Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley accounting and forecasting principles.

    + Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management preferred.

    + PMP or CAPM certification preferred.

    + Experience managing medium voltage (12kV - 69KV) utility projects.

    + Real estate easement, zoning, and permitting experience.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools such as Oracle Unifier.

    Work Environment

    Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with core hours from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Work from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with flexible options on Mondays and Thursdays. Embrace a collaborative and supportive team environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
