    Impact you'll make

     

    The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is a Technical Leader that facilitates engineering associated with the manufacturing process of heavy duty gas and steam turbine components. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. This role will cover weekend support, with typical working hours 6:00am- 6:30pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

    What you'll do

    + Control and maintain production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes coordinating Manufacturing Engineer resources in NPI (New Product Introduction) to the plant.

    + Maintain the respective product line for heavy duty gas and steam turbine machining during weekend operations. Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

    + Manage project timelines and support on-time completion.

    + Have in-depth understanding of key business drivers; use this understanding to accomplish your own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the plant.

    + Use judgment and have the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Use prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Have access to technical skills and analytical thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple sources outside of your own team to arrive at decisions.

    + A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor looking to grow their leadership skills and provide a pathway for a technical management career progression. Provide mentorship and daily direction to the individual contributors on the team.

    + Review non-conformance trends and drive initiatives for quality improvements.

    Required Qualifications

    + Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college with at least 2 additional years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with At least 4 additional years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR

    + 2 year technical degree with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or operations OR

    + High school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or operations.

    Eligibility requirements

    + Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.

    + Must be able to work 100% onsite in Bangor, Maine.

    + Relocation assistance only considered from within the USA.

    + APT NC

    + Text-based programming

    + NX CAD

    + Product family ownership

    + Process development

    + Gas/steam turbine hardware

     

    Pay Transparency

     

    _The base pay range for this position is $90_ , _400- $110,000 per year_ **.** _The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10_ **_%_** _performance bonus/variable incentive_ _compensation/equity. ​_

     

    _*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas._
