About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, (Automotive Focus) you will make an impact by driving strategic objectives and ensure the project progresses smoothly. You will be a valued member of our MLEU Consulting team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and to define the project scope, goals and deliverables.

In this role, you will

+ Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

+ Develop and prioritize product backlogs, user stories and acceptance criteria.

+ Drive daily progress, manage schedules, track tasks, resolve issues and more, all to keep the project on task and within scope.

+ Measure and report on project effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and other relevant metrics.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and to define the project scope, goals and deliverables.

+ Conduct data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions and share with leadership to ensure transparency.

+ Drive business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and enhance existing relationships.

+ Leverage industry experience to inform relevant departments and guide strategic decisions.

+ Lead and oversee the execution of IT programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

+ Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the program lifecycle.

What you must have to be considered

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field experience.

+ 3 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst and Product Owner preferably in the automotive sector.

+ Minimum of 3-5 years managing complex IT programs, including multi-project coordination and resource allocation.

+ Proficiency in project management tools with JIRA experience a plus.

+ Proven ability to develop and implement program strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.

+ Strong leadership skills to guide project teams, manage stakeholders, and drive program success.

These will help you succeed

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred; CISSP or CSM is a plus.

Working arrangements

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Detroit, Michigan.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,450 and $129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
