    Maintain health records, and immunization of all students of all children.

     

    Assist with examinations by health care professionals.

     

    Assist and keep all records and excuses for Homebound students.

     

    Use the tele binocular and audiometer to check sight and hearing problems.

     

    Work with Students with Disabilities to bring about better adjustment and to insure physical comfort, safety, and association with students.

     

    Create a desire in pupils to develop habits, attitudes and appreciations which tend to safeguard their own health.

     

    Promote school, home, and community health so that all are health conscious.

     

    Plan physical examinations for athletics and other students.

     

    Encourage parents to follow through on health-related concerns.

     

    Encourage team approach (principal, counselor, teacher, parents, and nurse) promoting the use of significant data concerning the emotional, physical, and social health of the child.

     

    Provide health care/social work services as detailed in appropriate program guidelines.

     

    Works with families on an individual basis in the solution of personal health related and family problems.

     

    Educates students, faculty, and family members through demonstration that promotes a wellness environment and ensures the health, comfort, and safety of students.

     

    Participates in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of student care.  Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

     

    Assumes other specified duties as directed by principal/supervisor.
