Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:The Delaware Blue Coats Junior Sales Associate program is part-time and provides entry-level sports business executives with the opportunity to learn the business side of professional sports from the top leaders in the sports industry. With a focus on consistent training and development through personalized one-on-one coaching, the Blue Coats Junior Sales Associate program will build the foundation needed for a long and successful career in the revenue-generating side of the sports business.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, TO THE BELOW:
+ Sell a full menu of ticket products for the Delaware Blue Coats, including, full season tickets, partial season ticket packages, and group tickets.
+ Make cold calls from lists of contacts in the Greater Wilmington Area provided to you.
+ Completing face-to-face selling meetings which include but are not limited to: games, area tours, virtual sales calls, or off-site meeting
+ Personal prospect leads to generate additional sales opportunities
+ Contact past customers in order to generate new ticket sales.
+ Effectively follow up with clients and prospective clients in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business and to meet excellent customer service requirements.
+ Work different events and games as assigned to support ticket sales efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
+ Extremely coachable and eager to learn every day.
+ Highly motivated individuals with a strong desire to build a career in the sports business.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Work Environment: This position requires that work be performed from the Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, DE as well as from the 76ers’ office in Camden, NJ on a determined schedule. This position is approximately 25 hours per week (exact dates and times may vary depending on the time of year and priorities). Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $15 and $16/hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, including commission eligibility.
This position will be an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
