As a **Software Engineer I** here at Honeywell, you will be involved in the design, development, and testing of software solutions that enhance our aerospace products and services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that impact the aviation industry.
You will report directly to our Sr Software Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. Current Honeywell employees will work on a hybrid work schedule. External candidates will begin onsite before transitioning, after 90 days, to a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance while contributing to the overall success of our organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications for aerospace systems.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
+ Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes.
_Travel, up to 5%, may be required._

YOU MUST HAVE:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
+ 1+ years of experience in software development or related field.
+ Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
+ Ability to read, write and speak English.

+ Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
+ Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques.
+ Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
+ Experience with aerospace software development.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
