The IT Security Analyst will work closely with the IT Security Administrator to ensure the security of our company's information systems. This role involves monitoring security alerts, assisting with routine security tasks, and gathering information for security reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT security principles and practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist the IT Security Administrator with routine security tasks, including system monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.

+ Respond to security alerts and incidents, performing initial analysis and escalating issues as necessary.

+ Gather and compile relevant information for security reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

+ Monitor and analyze security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.

+ Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices.

+ Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

+ Collaborate with other IT team members to address security-related issues and implement security improvements.

+ Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

+ Provide support for security-related projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

+ 2+ years of experience in IT security or a related role.

+ Strong understanding of IT security principles, practices, and technologies.

+ Experience with security monitoring tools and techniques.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are a plus.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight 50 lbs; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
