    Position: Scale Clerk

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

     

    Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

     

    We are currently hiring a **Scale Clerk** to join our team at the **Bossier City Transfer Station** . This role is essential to the daily operations of the facility, ensuring accurate weight tracking, safe practices, and excellent customer service.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Greet and direct all customers and contractors upon entry to the transfer station

    + Weigh trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers

    + Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures

    + Ensure that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material

    + Perform full clerical and general office duties

    + Assist with office duties, filing and paperwork as needed

    + Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    + Provide general upkeep of the Scale House

    + Generate regular reports summarizing transaction data, weights, and other relevant information

    + Provide reports to management as required

    Requirements:

    + Proficient in operating computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    + Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations is a plus
