Are you ready to make an impact in the healthcare sector by spearheading cutting-edge laboratory operations? We're seeking a dynamic individual to drive innovation and elevate the standards of service and efficiency in laboratory management.

The Role:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead the charge in planning, directing, and controlling laboratory operations. You will serve as the pivotal interface between the laboratory and its clients, ensuring seamless communication and top-tier service delivery.

What You’ll Do:

+ **Service Excellence:** Foster patient, physician, customer, and employee satisfaction through respectful and exemplary personal conduct. Champion initiatives that enhance customer service and follow the organizational chain of command for addressing patient care/service issues.

+ **People Development:** Maintain necessary licensure, certification, and education. Successfully complete orientation, in-service programs, and mandatory updates. Participate actively in department meetings, showcasing effective communication skills.

+ **Management Accountabilities:** Achieve monthly budget targets in wage and non-wage areas, meeting productivity standards consistently. Manage contract labor budget effectively, complete staff evaluations on time, and maintain low turnover rates.

+ **Quality Assurance:** Organize and maintain effective quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards and State and Federal regulations. Oversee departmental recruitment, performance appraisals, and develop performance standards.

+ **Strategic Planning:** Initiate laboratory strategies and marketing plans. Assess and implement new technologies, develop department goals, and establish policies for operational excellence. Evaluate demographic, legal, and technical changes to develop responsive programs.

What You'll Bring:

+ **Educational Background:** Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Sciences, with preferred additional training in Laboratory Management and Business Administration.

+ **Experience:** At least 5 years of practice as a Laboratory Generalist, and 5 years in a management role.

+ **Licensure and Certification:** Possess a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License upon hire, and obtain a California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.
