    Job Description

    A major client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a skilled and proactive Endpoint Engineer to support and optimize their Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment and Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. This role will initially focus on MECM server-side patching and remediation, while supporting AD design and governance responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    MECM (50%) (Currently 70%)

     

    Provide expert-level support for MECM, currently managed by the desktop team.

     

    Take ownership of MECM server-side operations, while collaborating with the end-user support team.

     

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patch rings and syntax errors in the current MECM setup.

     

    Clean up and re-establish server patching processes through MECM

     

    Active Directory (50%) (currently 30%)

     

    Support and enhance the AD environment in collaboration with professional services team

     

    Design, develop, and deploy Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to support Windows upgrades and other initiatives.

     

    Provide internal consulting on AD best practices, governance, and architecture.

     

    Ensure AD services are aligned with organizational standards and security protocols.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

     

    Ability to assess and optimize existing MECM environments

     

    Familiarity with patching strategies and ring deployment methodologies

     

    Strong experience in Active Directory design, GPO development, and governance Experience with HP Device Manager.
