About this Role:

This position is for a Technical Publications Writer who works independently, analyzes and monitors complex publications, and collaborates cross-functionally to create and maintain technical publications.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Works independently to draft and edit moderately complex technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate technical specifications and instructions to various audiences.

+ Research and analyzes developments in assigned products and services to determine the need for revisions in previously published technical materials and for the development of new materials.

+ Liaises with product developers, engineers, and other technical experts, observes production methods, and refers to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals to acquire knowledge need to develop moderately complex technical publications

+ Works with engineers and other technical personnel to clarify technical document contents.

+ Consults with business unit and department leaders to assist with the development of distribution plans for technical publications.

+ Oversee the maintenance of work records to ensure all files are organized and accurate.

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree

+ 1+ years of experience of literature or publication experience

+ 1+ years of experience with Adobe publications software FrameMaker or InDesign

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Strong proficiency in organization and managing multiple projects with target dates

+ Good communication skills

Pay Range:

$77,500.00-$135,250.00
