    UW Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has** an outstanding opportunity for a **Part-time Days- Health Unit Coordinator.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    + Part-time Evenings (75% FTE)

    + Monday, Tuesday, Thursday **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

    + Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment where multitasking and strong organizational skills are essential

    + Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging call lights

    + Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner

    + Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized unit environment for patients, families, and staff

    + Work closely with the charge RN to help manage patient flow, prioritize unit needs, and coordinate admits, transfers, and discharges

    + Prepare and compile discharge packets to support timely and safe patient discharges

    + Coordinate transportation and appropriate paperwork for patient transfers and diagnostic testing

    + Handle unit paperwork, including patient chart maintenance, consent forms, and other documentation

    + Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and restock as neededUtilize computer systems such as Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for communication, documentation, and coordination

    + Partner with all members of the care team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery **REQUIREMENTS**

    + High school graduation or equivalent AND

    + One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience **OR**

    + An equivalent combination of education/experience
