Description
As our Resource Adequacy Engineer III, you’ll play a key role in making sure our grid remains reliable when it matters most. You’ll:
+ Help set the Planning Reserve Margin across our footprint
+ Administer MISO’s Planning Resource Auction
+ Perform capacity accreditation
+ Collaborate with teams to design and implement new tools and processes

Within your first year, you’ll know you’re making an impact when you’ve helped our members successfully navigate the ongoing resource transition while meeting MISO’s Resource Adequacy requirements.
We are looking for talented professionals who have:
A least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering technology, electrical and computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology.
At least three years’ relevant work experience.
Our ideal candidate will have experience or ability to learn MISO Module E Capacity Tracking (MECT), Integ powergads / GVTC, running studies using Astrape SERVM, GE MARs, Siemens PSSE, MUST and/or PowerGEM TARA.
_Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge._
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $118,000-$137,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. At MISO we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
