    Van Dyk Park Place Assisted Living is currently hiring for Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem Maintenance Technicians in Hawthorne, NJ, 07506.

    Pay rate = $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

     

    This is a hands-on position that requires a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and willingness to do whatever is necessary. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years' experience, if you have worked in Assisted Living/Health Care setting even better! Must have strong skills in building systems, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC.

    Responsibilities include:

    + Perform all routine and preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heat and A/C, carpentry, and other building and grounds operations for all Van Dyk properties.

    + Completes the turnover of empty apartments to ensure repairs or upgrades are completed in a timely manner.

    + Performs basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work

    + Perform regular maintenance of HVAC system and minor repairs

    + Respond to emergency calls, maintenance issues and repairs for main building, corporate office and rental properties

    + Maintains a flexible schedule including after hours, holiday, weekends, on call emergency and as needed

    + Must possess excellent customer service skills and be courteous and helpful to residents, tenants, families, guests and staff members

    + Works well under time pressure, deadlines and multitasking

    + Ability to identify issues, determine repairs, and complete repairs in a timely manner

    + Strong problem-solving ability, knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
