Summary:

Located in Crawfordsville, IN, the Data Engineer position reports to the IT Manager and will be responsible for addressing the day-to-day data needs at Banjo, while staying ahead of data trends and identifying opportunities to better track the progress of the business through data driven analysis. This is a key role in helping to define, monitor, and measure success at Banjo. The Data Engineer is expected to maintain an exemplary level of customer service while working with local and corporate resources to maintain a safe, reliable, and trustworthy computing environment for Banjo staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Support day to day business activities and decisions by building, maintaining, and supporting accurate and meaningful data driven solutions.

+ Develop reporting tools and pipelines that directly support business functions using WebI, PowerBI, Fabric, as well as other industry resources

+ Directly engage with customers to provide insights on how data and analysis can help move the business forward.

+ Provide consultation on software solutions, whether purchased or developed internally.

+ Develop and maintain business objects in multiple platforms to improve processes and overall productivity

+ Provide insights and support in daily automation and overall task efficiency.

+ Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes through better use of existing system capabilities

Skills:

+ Knowledge of multiple types of data structures and strategies

+ Experience with MSSQL, Power Platform, etc.

+ Experience with using Python for scripting and managing data pipelines

+ Experience with Pandas and Jupyter Notebooks

+ Experience developing and maintaining business objects in a low code environment

+ Ability to translate business objectives into attainable data solutions

+ Awareness of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security practices

+ Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to solve problems, consider alternatives before making decisions, display intuitive judgment, timeliness in making recommendations and decisions

+ Ability to multi-task and effectively manage competing priorities

Education and Work Experience:

+ Bachelor of Science in data related field, or equivalent work experience

+ Minimum of 2 years of Data Analysis

+ Minimum of 1 year of Database Management
