• Supply Chain Engineer

    GKN Automotive (Mebane, NC)


    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement packaging strategies aligned with GKN standards

    + Design packaging prototypes and solutions based on operational needs

    + Collaborate with suppliers, internal facilities, and customers to ensure packaging efficiency

    + Support engineering standards and evaluate packaging effectiveness

    + Collect and analyze data to produce accurate reports and recommendations

    + Identify and resolve inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives

    + Assist in project management activities related to packaging development

    + Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies

    + Contribute to product development and customer order processing

    + Enter and manage CRM data to support customer retention and service excellence

    What You Bring

    + Post-secondary technical education or equivalent (or 2 year degree)

    + 3 years years of experience in packaging engineering or logistics

    + Proficiency in engineering design and CAD tools

    + Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations

    + Experience in costing, budgeting, and customer-focused solutions

    + Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance

    + Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    + Familiarity with change management and continuous improvement practices
