Behavioral Analyst Treatment Plan Coordinator is a direct care role within the state-operated Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Rochester. The CBHH provides short-term, acute inpatient psychiatric services in a 16-bed community-based setting. Natural support structures are incorporated into treatment by serving patients as close as possible to their home communities.
The Treatment Plan Coordinator serves as an active member, mentor and coordinator of the treatment plan team, assisting in the development of individual treatment plans, providing technical assistance, as well as supporting, training, and auditing treatment plans/planning. These individuals also support the overall function of each treatment unit and as such they periodically assist with a variety of non-licensed nursing staff responsibilities like patient escorting, day room supervision, patient rounding, etc. These individuals conduct auditing for quality and compliance in areas related to behavioral services. These individuals serve in a leadership role on their unit’s BA team by assisting in the coordination and fulfillment of the BA responsibilities on their unit.
The Treatment Plan Coordinator position will provide individual and group treatments for patients through delivery of evidence-based interventions in behavioral health, behavioral support and planning services, and the coordination, planning, delivery and documentation of those services. This position works within unit-based teams of 4 – 5 Behavioral Assistants and as such are very team oriented in the provision of our services. Embedded in this work are the principles, techniques and approaches of a variety of evidence-based treatment, best practices, and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of combined experience in at least 4 of the 6 activities listed below:
1. Providing direct care and therapeutic support to individuals
2. Assisting with assessment of behavior health challenges including data collection¿
3. Experience leading and/or facilitating educational groups or therapeutic activities with individuals with mental health symptoms
4. Experience developing and implementing support plans or treatment plans that addresses behavior through adaptations, activities, interventions, education, engagement, and support
5. Assisting in planning and hand-off communication of support plans and strategies for supporting individuals upon discharge
6. Developing/assisting in development of behavioral interventions and recommendations for interdisciplinary staff implementation
In addition to the above qualifications applicants must meet the requirements for a Mental Health Practitioner as defined in MN Statute 245I.04, subdivision 4. (https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/245I.04#stat.245I.04.2)
* 1 year of relevant experience requirement may be substituted by a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or behavior analysis; the experience requirement also may be substituted by a bachelor’s degree in human services or a related behavioral health field that includes substantial behavioral health coursework such as: individual or group counseling, clinical interviewing, clinical assessment, crisis intervention, or similar behavioral health courses.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience designing, implementing, and documenting behavior modification programs for developmentally delayed and/or mentally ill clients.
+ Previous experience working with individuals with mental illness or behavioral health conditions.
