This position requires an employee to be onsite at Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Direct Care & Treatment is seeking a Payroll Services Lead to join our payroll team. As the Payroll Services Lead, you will provide professional, high level payroll support to the employees of our organization. Day to day tasks will include:
+ Providing leadwork assistance to other payroll staff, which may include, guiding work and training
+ Coordinating, monitoring, interpreting, auditing, and analyzing employee payroll
+ Assisting in bi-weekly payroll functions in compliance with state and federal laws, collective bargaining agreements, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other policies and procedures
+ Facilitate in the collection of over and underpayments, while advising employees and other HR staff on the status of the collection
Minimum Qualifications
2 years experience processing payroll
Experience must also include:
+ Effective oral and written communication skills to support a wide variety of stakeholders
+ Researching, interpreting, analyzing and explaining complex statutes, law, policies and procedures, and bargaining unit agreements as they relate to fiscal operations
+ Designing, interpreting, advising, and explaining work processes and operations on fiscal procedures
+ Ability to be highly organized, manage priorities and balance a variety of duties while under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience using the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) or other accounting systems to query and compile records and reports
+ Experience with the preparation and maintenance of spending plans, financial status reports and budget requests
+ Experience processing staff payroll for a large governmental agency or private entity (400+ employees)
