    The Work

    This position is with the Platform Engineering, DevSecOps and Analysis Team \(DAT\) in the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems \(RMS\) Combat Systems Integration Engineering \(CSIE\) organization\. In this role, you will work in the Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy transformative capabilities focused on reducing costs and improving performance\. You will also work with the Pipeline Site Reliability Team \(SRT\) and the Forge Development Environment \(FDE\)/Government Cloud to support enhancing the business critical Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery \(CI/CD\) software pipeline used for the AEGIS combat system products\.

     

    A candidate for this position will work in a dynamic and collaborative Agile environment supporting the full lifecycle of complex state\-of\-the\-art systems that are deployed across the globe\. The candidate will use modern tools and engineering practices to develop new capabilities and support continuing improvements\. They will use Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Python, C\+\+, JavaScript, Podman, GitLab, Containers, Elastic Search, and others\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering

    • Minimum 2 years experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Java, Python, Containerization, and Kubernetes

    • Experience or knowledge with GitLab, GitLab Runners, Podman, Elastic Search, Linux, and Windows

    • Ability to work in an accelerated team environment with proven proficiency in full lifecycle software development

    • Ability to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • AWS, Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code \(IaC\)

    • Active Secret Security Clearance

    • Experience with GitLab: UI, CI, Actions

    • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite \(Jira, Bitbucket, Crucible, Confluence\)

    • Experience with DevSecOps technologies

    • Occasional travel may be required\.

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

     

    The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 \- $13,5961\.
