As a Nurse Manager, you will oversee two units-High-Risk Obstetrics (Antepartum) and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)-providing care for complex patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. In this role, you will deliver diagnostic and therapeutic services, ensure quality outcomes, supervise clinical staff, and manage all aspects of personnel development and operations. Ultimately, your dedication and leadership help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience for everyone, whether they are patients, visitors or fellow caregivers.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Manage practice of professional nursing and delivery of nurse care on assigned unit.
+ Establish clinical direction for nursing care delivery, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes.
+ Collaborate with liaison departments in maintaining patient care standards.
+ Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
+ Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
+ Develop and maintain unit related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement.
+ Maintain JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
+ Manage operation of unit.
+ Analyze personnel structure, determine staffing needs and mix.
+ Provide direction and supervision, evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination process and develop strategic plans.
+ Actively promote staff and self-development.
+ Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
+ Directs unit participation in evaluation of new products.
+ Approve purchases and establish or revise inventory quotes.
+ Assist in the development and monitoring of budget.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Level 3 Obstetric Service area- Master's Degree in Nursing **is required**
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
+ Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, **including** at least one year of healthcare management experience
+ High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area
+ Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills

Physical Requirements:
+ Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.
+ Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.
+ Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.
+ Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
+ Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
