Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital's Gynecology & Women's Health is nationally recognized and provides comprehensive gynecologic care. From common to complex gynecologic conditions, the department offers evidence-based care to its patients. As an LPN on our team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

+ Provide professional nursing care to patients.

+ Administer medication.

+ Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.

+ Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.

+ Implement pain management assessments and documentation.

+ Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.

+ Follow Code Blue protocol.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ Graduate of Accredited LPN program

+ Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

+ Knowledge of infection control practices

+ Computer literacy

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

+ One year of clinical experience

+ Previous gynecology experience

Physical Requirements:

+ Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

+ May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.

+ Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

+ Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.

+ Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

+ Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment:

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
