The Opportunity
UCHlth Longs Peak Hospital, US:CO:Longmont, LPH VP Operations
Pay: $57.56 - $92.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
The Director of PeriOperative Services provides strategic and operational leadership across key surgical and procedural departments at LPH and BFH, including:
+ Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Units (Preop/PACU)
+ Operating Rooms (OR)
+ Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
+ Gastrointestinal Services
Summary:
Directs Perioperative and Interventional nursing departments activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.
Key Responsibilities
The PeriOperative Director plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by:
+ Leading strategic planning and daily operations across all perioperative and GI service lines
+ Managing staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization to optimize patient flow and outcomes
+ Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
+ Driving quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives
+ Collaborating with physicians, nursing, and administrative teams to enhance service delivery
+ Overseeing budgets, capital planning, and equipment procurement
This position plays a vital role in advancing surgical and procedural excellence, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting innovation in care delivery across both hospitals.
Candidate Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
+ Master's degree in Nursing.
+ State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
+ 5 years' relevant experience, director level preferred.

+ Regulatory Compliance: Deep understanding of CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, and infection control standards.
+ Staff Leadership & Development: Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing interdisciplinary teams.
+ Quality & Safety Improvement: Experience leading initiatives to improve patient outcomes, reduce errors, and enhance satisfaction.
+ Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficient in using metrics and analytics to drive performance and operational efficiency.
+ Technology Integration: Familiarity with EMRs, surgical scheduling systems, and GI/endoscopy documentation platforms.
+ Collaborative: Builds strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and administrative leaders.
+ Decisive: Makes timely, informed decisions in high-pressure environments.
+ Visionary: Anticipates future needs and drives innovation in perioperative and GI services.
