    Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a highly skilled Unlimited License HVAC Technician to support public facilities across Mecklenburg County, NC, including libraries, recreation centers, and administrative buildings.

     

    This role covers a service area of up to 60 miles within the greater Charlotte region, giving you the opportunity to work in well-maintained, public-facing environments that are both safe and welcoming. Our technicians receive a take-home company vehicle, gas card, and the support of a nationally recognized facilities management leader.     Job Responsibilities

    Ensure automated or computerized control systems, stationary engines and associated auxiliary equipment (e.g. boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, fire/sprinkler systems, compressors, pollution control devices and other equipment to provide heat, ventilation, refrigeration, lighting, and power/utility distribution networks) are operating normally and to specifications.

     

    Monitor and inspect plant equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, and other instruments to measure temperature, and pressure to detect equipment malfunctions and to ensure plant equipment is operating at maximum efficiency.

     

    Perform a wide variety of maintenance and repairs, operate and maintain designated buildings and related equipment in a manner that ensures a safe, healthy, and clean building environment that satisfies customer needs and prevent equipment or system failures.

     

    Lead and provide technical guidance to maintenance staff and sub-contractors in preventive, corrective, and demand-based tasks.

     

    Analyze and record instrument readings utilizing designated operational logs, maintenance records and completion of safety related documentation in accordance with company, client, county, state, and federal laws and/or directives.

     

    Direct and coordinate the activities of facility maintenance staff, contractors, and equipment specialists engaged in corrective service for resolution.

     

    Accountable for shift activities, customer follow-up, handling major emergencies, and dealing with events effectively with limited support and supervision from management.

     

    Be on call on a rotational basis and for emergency callout as required.

    Functional Accountabilities

    Monitor Control Room activities during a shift; decide when to switch, change or reset the monitored systems to accommodate continuous services

     

    Provide support services for all buildings, maintain and update log, and entering of service requests utilizing callout (callout) capabilities.

     

    Operate building automation systems

     

    Ensure essential systems are properly functioning by walking through the plant or remote facilities to check and record the reading on gauges, dials, lights, meters, alarms, levers, switches, and any other devices that regulate the equipment

     

    Perform corrective maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications

     

    Troubleshoot equipment and systems to determine functional problems and make repairs as needed

     

    Routinely utilize all safety measures as related to work orders and specific tasks

    Qualifications

    HVAC Diploma, or equivalent required. Preferred, Trade, or Tech School in HVAC or Refrigeration.

     

    At least 5 to 7 years of related and progressive experience, 5 years of general maintenance experience with 2 years of experience operating computerized building automation systems, and 5-10 years of experience in the related field. Working knowledge of all applicable EPA & HVAC standards related to the position.

     

    Working knowledge of Building Automation Systems (e.g. Schneider Electric, Johnson Controls)

    Must maintain required license and/or certifications by respective Authorities Having Jurisdiction

    o ( e.g. Universal CFC Certification, Steam Engineering Licensure)

     

    Must have reliable transportation

     

    Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in uncomfortable positions

     

    Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

    Shift Requirements

    Employees may be required to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and a shift of up to 12 hours..
