Our software stack aims to set the new industry standard, and with the progress we’ve already made, we’re well ahead of the curve.We are seeking an engineering leader to drive the development of the Wearables Operating System that powers Meta’s smart glasses and future wearable devices. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for building and evolving this software stack, guiding it through every stage of our product launches. You’ll collaborate closely with our Silicon and Device engineering teams to deliver the technology foundation that enables the next generation of Meta wearables.We are looking for a leader with a solid technical foundation and experience effectively leading large software organizations.

1. Build, manage and support broad teams of engineering directors and managers
2. Provide both technical and organizational leadership
3. Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
4. Establish effective strategies and execute against them
5. Hiring and growing top technical and management leadership
Minimum Qualifications:

6. 15+ years of technical industry experience
7. 10+ years of management experience
8. Experience as VP or C-level of an engineering organization at a company operating at scale
9. Experience managing and scaling organizations
10. Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
11. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make business decisions
12. Proven experience in communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

14. Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and embedded software
15. Experience building efficient and scalable build and release systems
Public Compensation:
$482,000/year to $507,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
