National Instruments Corporation is seeking a Field Application Engineer for its offices in Austin, TX. Full time telecommuting permitted.
Job Description:
Develop and strengthen technical relationships with key accounts by enhancing NI-Emerson's technical credibility and boosting customer confidence in both our software and hardware's technical capabilities. Understand and assist in creating customer technical requirements. Provide recommendations on software architecture and hardware while helping understand the next steps to ensure success. Collaborate with the NI-Emerson Account Manager(s) as part of an account team to lead development and execution of the account technical strategy providing insight into the overall account strategy and pipeline. Coordinate with and inform internal technical stakeholders to execute technical initiatives on account and provide feedback to increase account success. Leverage industry, application area, and account knowledge to uncover and influence customer future technical needs and challenges generating further technical demand for NI-Emerson products, services, and support. Full time telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years of experience in a Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering or Sales Engineering occupation.
The required experience must include the following:
+ 2 years of programming experience in at least one of the following languages: LabVIEW, .NET, Python, C++, C# .
+ 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
+ 2 years of experience working with Radio Frequency (RF) Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Measurements.
