Responsibilities

Provides behavioral health counseling services to provide personalized treatment plans for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

+ Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals

+ Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.

+ Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

+ Provides patients with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

+ Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborative care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

+ Provides patient and family education on mental health conditions, coping strategies, and ways to support their child’s development.

**Complexity of Work:** Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Required Credential(s):

+ Licensed Psychologist-Prefer experienced in Pediatrics

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Psychologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

+ Psychotherapist preferred.

Education:

+ Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) required.
