    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    + Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

    + Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.)

    + Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required.

    + Reviews and QAs radiologic images.

    + Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean.

    + Liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner in order to make patients feel comfortable.

    + Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies.

    + Attends required staff meetings.

    + Maintains patient confidentiality.

    + Maintains current continuing medical education as required.

    + Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.

    EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

    + High School degree or equivalent.

    + ARRT or LMRT Certification required

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Student technologist would be beneficial but not necessary.

    + Orthopedic experience preferred.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.

    + Neat, professional appearance.

    REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

    + High School degree or equivalent.

    + Must be a RT. No LMRTs or NCTs

    + ARRT and MRT Certification required

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Orthopedic experience preferred.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.

    + Neat, professional appearance.
