    The Opportunity

     

    As a **Business Applications Analyst - Mid-Level** , you will contribute your analytical, business, and technical skills to support critical business functions, processes, and application/IT platforms. You will independently develop, implement, and maintain application solutions that meet business needs and identify opportunities to improve business processes.

     

    We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is **not** available for this position.

    What you'll do:

    + Collaborate in the analysis of application/IT platforms and data systems to define and document detailed business requirements and guide the development of testing requirements for new and modified systems, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and improve operational efficiency

    + Provides intermediate to sophisticated analysis, supporting the planning and implementation of systems and upgrades, and process changes.

    + Collaborate in the analysis of application/IT platforms and data systems to define and document detailed business requirements and guide the development of testing requirements for new and modified systems, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and improve operational efficiency

    + Facilitates the successful adoption of new or upgraded application functionality by reviewing it with business partners and preparing training materials and procedures for team use

    + Perform and coordinate business and application/IT platform support; analyze discrepancies and system failures.

    + Facilitate and perform resolution activities to minimize business impact and avoid future exposure; advise leadership and business partners of business implications associated with those events and develops recommendations to mitigate future impact.

    + Maintain proficient understanding of business processes, supporting applications/IT platform, and strategic direction.

    + Collaborate and exchange information with team members, partners, and internal customers to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified and addressed.

    + Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

    What you have:

    + Bachelor's degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

    + 4 years of work experience in analyzing IT business processes, software application/IT platform design and/or IT documentation, with an understanding of application/IT platform data systems and operations processes.

    + Demonstrated understanding of application/IT platform administration and the software development life cycle, to include testing execution.

    + Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to workflow and business requirements, as well as technical functionality of IT applications/IT platform.

    + Knowledge of risk & controls with experience identifying and fixing gaps, documenting controls and testing of those controls.

    + Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

    What sets you apart:

    + 2+ years of strong business acumen in financial services or a related industry, with direct experience in a high-volume Core Banking transaction processing production environment.

    + 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Fidelity (FIS) Systematics Applications, specifically Advance Loan Systems (ALS), IMPACS (IM), Relationship Manager (RM), Savings Time (ST), General Architecture (GN), or Certification Tracking (HX). Alternatively, equivalent experience with research and production support for other core banking systems will be considered.

     

    Compensation range:** The salary range for this position is: $77,120 - $147,390 **.

    **Compensation:** USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

     

    Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
