Join our team as a Hybrid Developer & HPC Linux Systems Analyst, where you will design, develop, and optimize solutions for high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This position blends Python development with Linux system administration to deliver efficient, scalable, and secure compute platforms. We are looking for an innovative professional who can bridge the gap between development and operations in support of mission-critical workloads.
Responsibilities
+ Develop automation, tooling, and workflows in Python to support HPC operations, job scheduling, and resource optimization.
+ Administer Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar) in HPC and clustered computing environments.
+ Configure and manage HPC schedulers and workload managers (Slurm, PBS Pro, Torque, or similar).
+ Troubleshoot performance and stability issues in HPC clusters, storage systems, and compute nodes.
+ Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for system health, job queues, and resource utilization.
+ Support integration of HPC applications, libraries, and frameworks across Linux platforms.
+ Enforce and maintain security controls in HPC environments, including patching, access controls, and compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Collaborate with researchers, developers, and system engineers to optimize applications for parallel and distributed computing.
+ Document HPC system architectures, workflows, and operational procedures for long-term maintainability.

Required SkillsRequired Experience Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience
+ Minimum of 2 to 10 years of related experience
+ Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
+ Must be able to pass CI Polygraph within 180 days of hire
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and program accesses as required
+ CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent baseline security certification
+ Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tooling
+ Experience with Linux system administration
+ Hands-on experience with workload managers/schedulers (Slurm, PBS, Torque, or equivalent)
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex performance and resource issues across HPC infrastructure
+ Knowledge of security best practices for Linux/HPC environments
+ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, challenging environment
+ U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with Linux system administration in HPC, clustered, or large-scale compute environments.
+ Experience with parallel programming paradigms (MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, or similar).
+ Familiarity with containerization in HPC contexts (Singularity, Apptainer, Docker, Podman).
+ Experience with cluster provisioning and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, or similar).
+ Familiarity with HPC storage solutions (Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS).
+ Background in performance profiling, benchmarking, or application optimization for HPC.
+ Experience with cross-language workflows (Python bindings to C/C++/Fortran libraries).
+ Active TS//SCI clearance with a current CI Scope Polygraph.
