    The Immunology Program at Boston Children’s Hospital evaluates and treats children with various types of immune system disorders (https://www.childrenshospital.org/programs/immunology-program/conditions-and-treatments) . We view educating each patient as one of our most important goals. With each child and family, we discuss the basis of immunodeficiency and the possibilities for avoiding infection.

    Key responsibilities:

    + Assisting clinician during examinations in a fast paced environment (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, rooming patients, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).

    + Assisting with scheduling of appointments. Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.

    + Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.

    + Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician.

    + Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.

    + Providing general support for clinical operations, including stocking,

    + Rotating between Boston and 2 Brookline Place locations, as well as between Fegan 6 specialties.

    + Ability to work occasional evening hours.

    Minimum qualifications:

    Education:

    + A HS Diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:

    + 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience.

    + Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
