Co-op – Healthcare Data Scientist – Cambridge, MA – January - August 2026
Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing a graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your role:
+ Designing, testing, developing, deploying, maintaining, and improving algorithm software assets building on a solid knowledge of Machine learning/Generative AI technologies.
+ Data Engineering, focusing on feature engineering, querying and analyzing data patterns.
+ Utilizing large cross-country data lake-houses to build relevant insights and algorithms for clinical care and patient management.
+ Designing and developing data analysis and visualizations and supporting customer data analytics processes.
You're the right fit if:
+ MS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degrees.
+ Strong understanding of data science concepts and methodologies. Experience with machine learning algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, reinforcement learning, dimensionality reduction with expertise in one or more application domains of NLP, image processing, generative AI and time series analysis.
+ Skilled in Python ML frameworks, SQL queries and at least one major programming language such as C#.
+ Preferably: A knowledge of cloud computing and its application in data science- cloud architecture based on Amazon Web Services, leveraging AWS Data pipeline to process and move data using AWS services like EC2, Athena and S3.
+ You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remoteposition.
