Prin. Product Manager - Technical
This is once in a lifetime opportunity to shape the direction how Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Labs builds GenAI models. We are driving innovation at an unprecedented scale. AGI Infrastructure enables training/distillation of Nova Foundations family of models, Agentic AI (Nova Act) for public and for 100s of Amazon businesses.
As a Principal PMT, you will own the strategy and vision to continuously improving the rate of innovation for AGI researchers, scientists using AGI's Model Factory cutting across AI training super-clusters, process data at XB scale and model training studio.
This role is inherently cross-functional -- you will cut across AGI engineering, science leaders, operations, finance and legal team leaders to uncover the future business needs and define the roadmap to deliver on the most strategic goals. You will have visibility at SVP and VP level executives.
A successful candidate is a strategic thinker, combine customer feedback, quantitative analysis and market trends to prioritize the customer needs from multiple orgs. You must be able to effectively influence up and across the organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and define vision for automagical products that customers love.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and define strategy, vision and roadmap for model training platform.
• Engage researchers, scientists and MLEs early and often to iteratively define product specifications.
• Define the business metrics to measure the impact of the platform features.
• Balance among customer experience, performance and operational support load.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
• Engage users in iteratively test and rollout features across AGI and Amazon business teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
