*Description*
*Summary:*
The Mail Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mail room at the Summit of Danbury. This role ensures the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing mail and packages including the sorting, distribution, and dispatching of parcels ensuring overall compliance. The Mail Room Supervisor also manages a team of staff and ensures that all mailroom activities comply with company policies and procedures ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
*Responsibilities:*
25%-Supervise staff providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.15%-Coordinate work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels. Foster a positive and productive work environment keeping up-to-date with mailing technologies.10%-Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization/entity and the USPS Postmaster and serving as a liaison to resolve issues, service disruptions and coordinate required actions with USPS.10%-Oversee the sorting and distribution of incoming mail and packages; ensure accurate processing and dispatching of outgoing mail and packages; ensure compliance with postal regulations and organizational policies.5%-Handle special mailing requests, including express and certified mail ensuring security of sensitive or confidential mail and packages.5%-Develop and implement mail room procedures and policies to improve efficiency and accuracy keeping current with changes in USPS regulations, industry best practices and best methods.5%-Monitor and manage mail room supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is well-stocked and ensure proper maintenance of mailroom equipment.5%-Track renewal dates for P.O. Box rental(s) and ensure that all fees are paid on time to avoid service disruptions.5%-Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.5%-Collaborate with other departments to coordinate mail and package deliveries.5%-Assist with office supply inventory management and distribution.5%-Provide support for other administrative tasks as needed.

*Education Skills Experience*
* High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
* At least 2-5 years of previous experience in an administrative role or mail room, shipping/receiving. Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
* Strong leadership, team management and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, time-management abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
*Physical Requirements:*
Ability to lift and move packages up to 20 pounds.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
* This job operates in a professional office environment. The role may require handling packages and occasional overtime during peak periods.
