Description We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play an integral part in ensuring accurate payroll processing and providing exceptional support to clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the payroll services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record employee work hours to ensure accurate payroll calculations.

• Assist clients in updating and maintaining payroll account information.

• Address client inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.

• Collaborate on special projects to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

• Verify data accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report payroll data.

• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive payroll information.

• Provide support in auditing payroll records for accuracy and completeness.

• Ensure timely and efficient communication with clients and team members. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing or a related role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance standards.

• Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in payroll are a plus.
