Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient management of invoice processing and payment operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization and work collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify approximately 75-100 invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Review and code invoices to appropriate accounts, maintaining precision and accountability.

• Resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments by investigating and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

• Oversee all accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

• Facilitate check runs and electronic payments to maintain smooth financial operations.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with a team of five to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

• Support the implementation of new software systems to improve accounts payable workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

• Strong skills in coding invoices and managing check runs.

• Proficiency in invoice processing and resolving payment discrepancies.

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Knowledge of non-profit financial operations is a plus.
