Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Del Mar, California, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic construction and home-building company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounts payable and a proven ability to handle month-end processes efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, approvals, and payments.

• Perform accurate account coding and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Utilize Sage 300 and other accounting software systems to maintain organized financial records.

• Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.

• Process vendor payments through ACH and other automated systems.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.

• Audit financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.

• Maintain vendor accounts and address inquiries promptly.

• Contribute to process improvements to streamline accounts payable functions.

• Assist with ERP system-related tasks as needed to enhance financial operations. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

• Proficiency in Sage and other accounting software systems.

• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with ADP, Concur, and ERP systems is preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
