You’ll lead a range of transportation projects — from pedestrian improvements to major infrastructure — applying your skills in roadway design, drainage, site layout, and utility coordination. You’ll manage delivery teams, strengthen client relationships, and help grow our footprint in the North Carolina market.
This role offers the chance to work closely with NCDOT and local agencies, backed by Jacobs’ national resources and technical expertise.
What You’ll Do
* Serve as Project Manager for highway and bridge design projects, including operational and safety improvements.
* Lead technical teams in developing innovative roadway design solutions.
* Provide technical expertise and ensure high-quality standards across project delivery.
* Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to secure new projects and expand relationships with NCDOT and other North Carolina agencies.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license (North Carolina preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months).
* At least 7 years of experience managing transportation infrastructure projects.
* Proven experience with NCDOT and local government projects in North Carolina.
* Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and transportation design software.
* Strong understanding of AASHTO design guidelines.
